Krithi Black Chana, also known as Kala Chana or Bengal Gram, are essential legumes in Indian cuisine. They are smaller and darker than regular chickpeas and have a nuttier flavour and firmer texture once cooked. They must be soaked prior to cooking and are commonly used to prepare savory curries (Chana Masala, Kadala Curry), sprouted for salads, or dry-roasted for snacks.
